Quinta dos Ferrage has its roots in the farmland of Amares, where several generations wrote their stories. From them grew a house rich in culture and full of joy.
Today, the houses and shared spaces welcome couples, large families and groups of friends. 500 m from the centre of Amares, about 20 minutes from Braga, at the entrance to Gerês.

Nous avons passé 4 jours à 30 personnes dans la quinta, cet endroit est magnifique, aussi bien les logements, que les extérieurs, la piscine et tous ces petits coins adorables avec des barbecues, des tables, des jeux etc... Tout y était, les propriétaires sont adorables et très serviables, ils nous laissent complètement libre d aller partout, cet endroit est idéal pour des réunions de famille, d amis et toutes sortes de fêtes, même la sono pour mettre de la musique est disponible, nous espérons pouvoir y retourner dans ce petit coin de paradis, un grand merci à Adriano pour sa gentillesse et sa disponibilité

Answers to the questions we are asked most before arrival. If anything is missing, we are just a message away.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
We welcome you between 4pm and 7pm, with time to settle in calmly. On departure day, we ask you to leave the house by 10am. If you need a different time, let us know before you arrive.
Is the pool private?
The covered pool and the jacuzzi are shared spaces for the guests of the houses.
Can I bring my dog or cat?
Yes, dogs and cats are welcome. There is a one-off fee of €20 per pet per stay, and we only ask that you keep them on a lead outdoors and clean up after them.
Can we come as a group for a special occasion?
With pleasure. We welcome family birthdays, company teams and organised group trips. Tell us your dates and how many you are, and we will prepare a tailored proposal.
What is there to do at the quinta?
A lot, or almost nothing, as you prefer: pool and jacuzzi, tennis and football court, billiards and table football, corners of the garden for reading in the shade and barbecues for the late afternoons.
What can we visit in the region?
Gerês is on the doorstep, with trails, waterfalls and reservoirs. Braga is about 20 minutes away, with Bom Jesus and its historic centre, and the Douro Valley makes a lovely day trip.
When is the best time to visit?
Every season has its charm: spring fills the garden with colour, summer calls for the pool and dinners outdoors, autumn brings the golden light of the Minho and, in winter, the heated houses invite you to slow down.
